Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Hit the S.B. Film Festival

Well the night arrived and the Red Carpet was laid out! State Street was packed and there were cameras everywhere, including in this one for SBLocal.com. Here's the catch of the Day, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt arrival at the BIFF for 2008.

Angelina visited the ringside Crowds and signed some Photos - the crowd was pretty amicable and friendly, no one crossed the barriers and there were no scenes aside from the women calling out "Brad, Brad" while Angelina did an on camera stint or so.

Angelina was dressed in a Black topped ensemble with a colorful Pink, orange colored print Skirt (see the last photo, click on the continuation link below).

Big 94 Image Gallery Online

94galleryblogger_2 It was a bit of a chore, but a huge 94 Image Photograph Gallery featuring Santa Barbara has been added to the site! It took a couple of hours, but it was worth it.

Most of the photographs featured on the  94 Image Page are included on the Santa Barbara Local Sights DVD Video Disk.

Luckily there was a script in .php format available to make the conversion from page-to-page clicking not needed, and the overall look is fairly impressive.

We try to create attractive pages here at SBLocal.com - and sometimes it's a chore accomplishing that on a part-time basis.

The weathers’ nice, but there has been a few spots of rain lately.

Soon the Summer weather will be here and in full swing!

As usual we’re not looking towards the few weeks of rain that usually hit our area, but we’ll survive it any in any case.

Lots of Activities coming up here in S.B., but we haven’t had the time to search them out and post them just yet. But, we’ll get around to it soon!

Around here there’s always some sort of Celebration or Festival taking place.

Stay tuned right here and we’ll try to keep you updated on all the new happening coming to Santa Barbara.

What to do in Santa Barbara

Some of the finer things in life are absolutely Free. The Museum of Art isn’t generally one of them, except for on Sundays ( Admission free every Sunday). But I’m not talking about the Museum…… I’m talking about just meandering along State Street on any given weekend, taking in the scenery and watching the many people visiting our lovely city. On any Given weekend there’s so much Artistry in the people just wandering the streets. Sure some times you have to be careful who you talk to, as in any city - Santa Barbara Has it’s share of strange ones. So next time your out strolling around, maybe you can comment on something/someone. Like the White Bearded Guy Playing The Bongos Insessantly - or the Goth-Dressed-Panhandling-Teenage-Rich-Children, or the Drunk Guy with the ____ in his ______ [go ahead, make something up to fill in the blanks, have fun with it!].

Where to Eat ?

Used to be lots of inexpensive places to eat in S.B. - but with the Rents constantly increasing here, well, it’s hard to keep the good places in town.

Now, if your hoping to find out about pricey eats . . . perhaps you should look elsewhere. Here we’ll point out a few fair priced eats, mostly of the Spanish/Mexican Tastes.

La Super Rica Taqueria - 622 N. Milpas St,  - Santa Barbara  - Phone: (805) 963-4940

As you may have heard before La Super Rica Taqueria has been a medium priced eatery, but since it bacame famous because Julia Childs qrote about it in the L.A. Times way back when: It’s pretty difficult to get a table during rush hours. But during the off hours, like after Lunch and Dinner you can usually get served fairly quickly.

If you like Mexican Food - with great hot sauces, and cold beer, or wine this is the place for you. One of the special things about LSRT is that you can watch them prepare the food, plus make the Tortillas BY HAND! The Mexican Sausage, Chorizo can be had in tacos or melted in a bowl of cheese! Muy Fantastico!

LITO’s Take Out - 514 E Haley St - Santa Barbara, CA 93103 - (805) 962-1559
If you have a Taste for Authentic Carnitas - Litos is tha place to be! Menudo on weekends, Enchiladas, Burritos and Homemade Beans and Rice! It’s a small Eatery and they tend to close early somedays.

Hopefully we can say more about these to LOCAL places to have Some Great Tasting Food. - Remember it’s an axxquired tases, all that salsa and meat; but one ce you know where to get it, you’ll always remember it!
