Getting around Santa Barbara couldn't be any simpler than riding the Bus. The price of fare is only $1.25 for adults and Seniors and persons with Disabilities only pay $0.60 - Children under 45 inches ride for free. Check out the Schedule over at SBMTD.GOV
The Seaside Shuttle only Costs $0.25 cents and travels up and down State Street from the Arlington Theatre to the Wharf, and along the Beach from the Harbor Area to the Santa Barbara Zoo.

A question often asked by visitors alot: Where's the nearest place to get Gas Downtown. The Answer is Seaside Market at the Corner of Chapala and Carrillo Streets. Accross from Ralphs and the Greyhound Bus Terminal.
And as for Gas Prices - The Food Mart Sign photo was taken Tuesday Evening, April 17, 2007 at 11:15 p.m., so you can see for yourself what you can expect to pay for petro in Downtown Santa Barbara.
You can no doubt find it slightly less expensive in outer lying cities though.
By the way this is a 24 Hour Joint, convenient place to get that late night drink or snack.
Here's some Good info for the general Visitor & Tourist to the Santa Barbara area ? Well, we've got some interesting Pointers for you right here at SBLocal.com . . .. . . One of the main things you may notice while here, is that everything seems to be a bit off-kilter: that's because the ocean/beaches of Santa Barbara facr mostly to the South, and knowing that California has it's ocean to the West well, don't become too disoriented by it.
All you really need to
remember are a few main streets: STATE Street goes North & South,
the mountainside is referred to as the EAST-side and the side towards
the ocean as the WEST-side.
